Good day, everyone. Today, I want to talk to you about the contributions of a historic figure in journalism and the lessons we can learn from their work. Specifically, I will discuss the life and work of Ida B. Wells, a pioneering African-American journalist, and civil rights activist.
Ida B. Wells was born in Mississippi in 1862, and she later moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where she became a teacher. Wells was also a journalist who wrote about the mistreatment of African-Americans.
